Capacity Building

Capacity Building is carried out by the Training Cell of the Board. With the main objective to build and enhance capacity all the functionaries of the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board for improved service delivery. The board conducts regular capacity building programmes in various aspects of prevention, abatement and control of pollution, waste minimization, cleaner production technologies, new guidelines and acts, also conducts on-site training. The technical, non technical and scientific personnel are trained in specific areas for their skill up-gradation and to enhance capacity building in the Board.

Every year, personnel are nominated for capacity building or training programmes conducted by reputed organizations / institutes within the State, Country, and Over-seas. After attending these programmes, the Officers share the knowledge acquired by them with other officers in the Board. The personnel of the Board are also invited as experts speakers for delivering lectures / presentations on various environment related topics by reputed organizations in the State as well as in the Country.

APPCB was bifurcated on 20.09.2014 after the state bifurcation.
